The Tracker (2002)
In 1922 outback Australia, a racist white colonial policeman uses an indigenous tracker to find the murderer of a white woman.
The Tracker was critically received internationally, with renowned US critic Roger Ebert giving the film 3.5 stars out of 4 and reviewing it as “haunting” and the performances “powerful”. Australian critic David Stratton described the film as “remarkable”. It premiered internationally at Venice in 2002 and won a number of awards both locally and overseas.
